When she does her blonde hair
like Dusty Spingfield's or Kim Novak's,
when she sprays and guides it high
toward the firmament of other such
stars as herself, I want to reach
her: start a fan club or send
an admiring letter–better yet, write
several letters to hide in my dresser
for her to find some morning
she runs out of socks and borrows mine.
